Ajjanahalli Gold Mine is in Sira Taluk, Tumkur Dist. And is about 75 Kms from Chitradurga Gold Unit. The area is explored by GSI & HGML. HGML has got Mining Lease (ML No: 2243, Period: 22-10-1998 to 22-10-2018). HGML has carried out open cast mining during 1995 to 2002. Subsequently, it was suspended due to non-viability during 2002.i.e. encountered un-oxidized refectory ore, topography was not favorable. It is planned to carry out the further detailed exploration.
