Leaching
The Slurry from Grinding Plant is pumped to Thickeners. The thickened pulp is pumped to a series of Agitators for leaching. Sodium Cyanide, Hydrogen peroxide and compressed air is used for leach the Gold from Slurry. Now the leached slurry is fed to Carbon-in-pulp (CIP) process to adsorb the gold solution by the activated carbon. The loaded carbon from the CIP circuit is removed on regular intervals and subjected to washing (water, acid, alkaline) in the washing unit before feeding to the elution and Electro-winning process.
In the Electro-winning circuit steel wool is used as a cathode and the Gold gets deposited on the steel wool. The gold loaded steel wool from the Electro-winning circuit is removed on regular intervals and taken to refining unit for further processing.
